Waymo

Waymo is a speculative product campaign exploring the autonomous ride experience through a combination of cinematic product visualization and interface-driven storytelling. The project was designed to communicate key moments of the user journey—from ride selection and in-car controls to passenger interactions—through a clear and approachable visual language.

Inspired by Waymo's focus on accessibility, simplicity, and technology, the campaign aims to translate complex autonomous systems into an intuitive and premium customer experience.

As part of the campaign, a conceptual feature called Pet Mode was developed to explore how the autonomous ride experience could extend to pet owners.

Designed to feel native to the Waymo ecosystem, the feature introduces in-ride pet monitoring and status updates, expanding the service while maintaining a seamless user experience.

The Pet Mode sequence was created using a hybrid 3D and AI-assisted workflow. A proxy object was first placed in the 3D scene to establish the dog's scale, position, lighting, and interaction with the environment.

After rendering the camera animation, key frames were used to replace the proxy with a golden retriever, while additional imagery was generated to create the transition between shots.

This approach combined the control of a traditional 3D pipeline with the flexibility of AI-assisted character generation.
